| Our Welch Allyn Lighting Products Division, located in Skaneateles Falls, NY, has been an innovator in the development of precision lighting systems for more than 80 years, specializing in medical diagnostic instruments and miniature lighting applications for industry.
We began making our own lamps in 1965, and by 1982 we were manufacturing more than 90 percent of our own lamps in-house for use in subminiature lighting equipment.
While development initially focused on halogen-based lighting, we soon shifted our attention to the forefront of arc lamp technology. We produced our first lamp in 1986 and became one of the leading innovators, receiving multiple patents in the field of arc lamp technology.
